Acceptable use
Ridoco does not run a forum, a game server, or a chat community, so this is not a code of community conduct. The one place you can post something in public is a comment on a news post, and that is covered below.
This page covers three things and nothing else: the account area on this site, comments on news posts, and the support channels. If you are only reading the public pages, none of this applies to you.
Your account
An account on ridoco.com exists so you can follow your own work: your orders, your invoices, your requests. That side of it is private and is never shown to anyone else.
It is not a social account, and parts of it are public. Your username, your display name, and anything you add later such as an avatar, a banner or a line about yourself, sit on a profile page at ridoco.com/users/ that anyone can open without signing in. Your email address, your orders and your invoices are not on it, and never appear there. Your date of birth is shown only as far as you chose when you registered, and that choice can be changed in your account settings. A username and a display name are the only two that have to be filled in, so leaving the rest empty is how you show less.
- Register with details that are accurate, and keep them accurate. Invoices and legal notices are sent to what is on file.
- One account per person or organisation. If you need more than one, ask.
- Your sign in details are yours to look after. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you until you report otherwise.
- Tell Ridoco promptly if you think someone else has access.
Comments on news posts
Comments are open on news posts, and they are the only place on this site where you publish something the public can read. You have to be signed in to leave one, and it appears under your display name and avatar, linked to your profile, where anyone can read it without an account. Treat a comment as permanently public from the moment you post it.
- Your comment stays yours. You can edit it or delete it yourself at any time, without asking and without giving a reason.
- Keep it about the post. Anything abusive, threatening, or aimed at a person rather than the subject does not belong here.
- Do not advertise someone else's business, and do not post the same thing repeatedly.
- Do not post personal data, yours or anyone else's, and never put an order number, an invoice, or anything from a private conversation in a comment. Use the support channels for that.
- Strong language is filtered automatically before a comment is saved, which is the usual reason a comment is rejected.
Comments that break the above are hidden or removed, by one person, without a committee and without an appeals process, because at this size neither exists. If it keeps happening it becomes an account matter and is handled under If this is broken below, since commenting needs an account. Removing a comment is never a substitute for answering a complaint: if you have one, the support channels and the complaints route on the terms of service page are where it gets a proper reply.
Using this site
Ordinary use of the site as a visitor or a client is fine and needs no permission. The following are not:
- Trying to reach an account, order, invoice, or document that is not yours.
- Scanning, probing, or testing the security of this site without written permission first. Ask, and permission is usually given, in writing, with a scope.
- Automated traffic beyond normal browsing: scraping, bulk requests, load generation, or anything that degrades the site for others.
- Uploading anything designed to damage or take control of a system.
- Using this site to break the law.
If you find a security problem by accident, report it to contact@ridoco.com rather than exploring further. That report is welcome and will not be held against you.
Support channels
Support is for your own work with Ridoco: questions about a project, a Care plan, an invoice, or something that has stopped working.
- Send what you have the right to send. Do not include other people's personal data, or confidential material belonging to someone else, unless it is genuinely needed and you are allowed to share it.
- Do not send passwords or keys in a message. If access is needed, Ridoco will ask for it in a way that is safe to answer.
- Abuse, threats, or harassment directed at Ridoco end the conversation.
If this is broken
Ridoco will normally contact you first, because most of it is a misunderstanding. Where it is not, access to the account area or the support channel may be limited or withdrawn.
That is an access measure and nothing more. It does not end a paid agreement, cancel a Care plan, or affect money already paid. What happens to an agreement is governed by what was agreed and by the withdrawal and cancellation page, never by this one.
