Harder to break into. Recoverable when it goes wrong.

Practical security for machines, small networks and small businesses. Cleanup after something has already happened, hardening so it is less likely to happen again, and a backup proved by running a restore.

Cleanup and recovery

For when it has already gone wrong. Scoped and quoted after a free check.

Malware and adware removal

Removed, and then the route it came in by is traced and closed. Not every infection leaves a trail: logs rotate and caches get wiped. When the entry point cannot be proven you are told that in writing, and the likely routes are shut regardless.

Account recovery and takeover

On an account you can still sign in to: passwords rotated, active sessions revoked, two factor rolled out, and the recovery options checked so the same route back in is not left open. On an account you are locked out of, the provider's own recovery flow decides the outcome and it can refuse. There the case is assembled, filed and chased, quoted as time and not as a result, and you are told the moment it stops moving.

A report in plain language

What happened, and which data was exposed and which was not. Written so you can hand it to your accountant or your insurer without translating it.

Hardening

Closing the obvious holes, where most of the risk in a small setup sits.

Operating system baseline

Patching policy, separated administrator and daily accounts, disk encryption, and secure boot where the hardware supports it.

Network baseline

Firewall rules that match what you actually run, guest and device separation, and services that were exposed to the internet taken back off it.

Backup proved by restoring it

A restore is actually run and you watch it happen. Where your hosting has no staging slot or spare database, the restore goes to separate hardware and you get the evidence from that. If your plan makes even that impossible, you are told at the check, before you have paid for a test that cannot be run.

Reviews

A written look at what you have now, with findings you can act on.

Ranked by likelihood and impact

Every finding says how likely it is and how bad it would be.

A fix list you can hand to anyone

Written to be handed to whoever you like, including another company.

What is not done here

Six things Ridoco does not do, published beside the offer.

No certifications are claimed

Ridoco holds no security certification and is not an assessment body. If an insurer, a customer or a regulator needs a certified assessment, you need a certified assessor. You are told so and pointed at one.

No formal audits or certification reports

What you get is a written review and a fix list, in plain language. It is not an audit report and it is not something to submit as evidence of certification.

No testing against systems you do not control

Nothing is scanned or attacked unless you own it or can show written permission for it. That is not negotiable per job.

No monitoring around the clock

Nothing here is watched at night. The uptime monitoring on a Care plan raises an alert when a site stops answering, on working days.

No findings that cannot be demonstrated

Every finding on the report comes with the evidence for it.

No price list

A single laptop and a five person business are not the same job. Security work is quoted after a look at what you actually have. If it is out of scope for one person, you are told that. The rest of what RidoIT covers is on IT services.

Describe what happened, or what you are worried about. You get an honest read on whether it is a real problem, what it would take to fix, and whether it is a job for one person at all.
