Withdrawal and cancellation (herroeping en annulering)
This page explains when you can walk away from an agreement with Ridoco, how to do it, and what happens to money already paid. It applies to everything sold here: website projects, branding work, Care plans, and any other service.
Ridoco is a Dutch one person company. If you are a consumer, Dutch law gives you a right of withdrawal that Ridoco cannot shorten, condition, or sign away. Nothing on this page limits that right or any other right you have by law.
Who has the right
You have the statutory right of withdrawal if you are a consumer, meaning a natural person acting for purposes outside a trade, business, craft or profession.
If you are buying for a business, you do not have this statutory right. Business agreements are governed by what was quoted and agreed in writing: the consumer regime in Boek 6 BW does not apply to a business buyer. If you are a sole trader buying something genuinely unrelated to your trade, say so and it will be treated as a consumer purchase.
Fourteen days, and when they start
As a consumer you have 14 days to withdraw from an agreement concluded at a distance, without giving any reason and without penalty.
What Ridoco sells are services. For a service the 14 days run from the day the agreement is concluded, under art. 6:230o lid 1 BW. They do not run from delivery, from the first invoice, or from the day work starts. The day of conclusion itself does not count; the clock starts the day after.
If Ridoco failed to tell you about this right, or told you something incorrect about it, the period does not simply expire. Under art. 6:230o lid 2 BW it is extended by up to twelve months from the end of the original fourteen days. If the information is supplied late, the fourteen days restart from the day it is supplied.
How to withdraw
Use the withdrawal function on this site: withdraw from an agreement. This is the withdrawal function (herroepingsknop) required by art. 6:230oa BW, which has applied since 19 June 2026 to agreements concluded through an online interface. It does not need an account and it asks for three things only: your name, enough detail to identify the agreement, and an email address to send the confirmation to. There is no reason field and no retention offer, because adding one would not be allowed.
You may instead use the model withdrawal form, which you can read on screen or download. Using the model form is optional. Any other unambiguous statement also works: an email to contact@ridoco.com, or a letter to De Nieuwe Erven 3-12572, 5431 NV Cuijk, Netherlands.
Your withdrawal is in time if you send it before the fourteen days run out. Sending it on the last day is enough; it does not have to be read or processed by then. The withdrawal function records the moment you submit, and Ridoco confirms receipt to you on a durable medium.
If you asked for the work to start inside the fourteen days
You can ask for work to begin before the reflection period is over. That changes two things.
First, if you then withdraw, you owe a proportionate amount for what had actually been performed at the moment you told Ridoco, measured against the full agreed price. Not the whole price, and not a cancellation fee. If you were never told in advance that this amount could be charged, you owe nothing for it at all, under art. 6:230s lid 5 BW.
Second, your right of withdrawal only ends once the service has been fully performed, and even then only if you had expressly requested the early start and expressly acknowledged that you would lose the right on full performance. Both, actually recorded at the time of purchase. Under art. 6:230p onder d BW, one without the other is not enough, and work merely being in progress ends nothing.
Ridoco does not treat the right as waived unless both of those were genuinely collected. If there is any doubt about whether they were, the right stands.
What happens to the money
Ridoco refunds everything you paid, less any proportionate amount owed under the paragraph above, within 14 days of being informed of your decision. The refund goes back by the same means you paid by. Today that means a bank transfer, because this site takes no online payment: there is no checkout on it and no payment provider is configured. If online payment is switched on later, a refund goes back through the provider you paid with, to the card or account you used, unless you agree otherwise. Either way there is no fee for withdrawing and no administration charge.
Cancelling a Care plan
A Care plan is a monthly, open ended agreement. Two separate things can happen to it.
Inside the first fourteen days, as a consumer you can withdraw using the withdrawal function above, on the terms set out on this page.
After that, you can cancel at any time. There is no minimum term, no lock in, and no notice period beyond the month you are already in. Tell Ridoco in writing, by email to contact@ridoco.com or through the support channel on this site. The plan then runs to the end of the period you have already paid for and is not renewed. You keep the service for the rest of that period; the already paid period is not refunded pro rata, because you receive it in full.
Cancelling a Care plan does not cancel any separate project agreement, and cancelling a project does not cancel a Care plan. They are separate agreements and each has to be ended on its own.
