Take one or both. Design and website work carries one price and one named delivery date, both written into the quote you accept. Systems and repair work is quoted after the free check. What is wrong decides the price. Either way you get the price and the terms in writing first, a named person answerable for the result, and full rights to what you paid for.
The free check is also where the limits are named. If something is out of scope, not worth doing, or better handled by somebody else, you will be told so. Book a free check and describe the problem.
